Fight Fat with these Seven Foods

Recently, I read an article which I thought might be of interest to my readers listing seven foods which help fight fat.  My inquisitive nature had me opening the story which listed the following foods.  I will let you be the judge as to whether these foods actually assist with fighting fat (on your body).

  1. Apples and Pears. These fruits contain lots of water and fiber, which can make you feel full for longer periods of time.  It is suggested that you eat the fruit instead of drinking the juice, allowing you to chew the fruit therefore your body gets more fiber.
  2. Eggs. Eggs contain seven grams of protein and only contain seventy-five calories.  And they contain many other vital nutrients, allowing your body actually to burn more calories than other carb-filled foods.
  3. Potatoes. Potatoes are the perfect dieter’s food as they contain an average of 161 calories.  Three times as filling as white bread, they too can assist with your calorie intake.
  4. Green Tea. Green tea contains catechins which boosts metabolism.  To benefit the most from green tea, drink a glass several times per day.
  5. Quinoa. Quinoa is nutritional as well as great in the fight against fat.  It contains eight grams of protein and five grams of fiber in one cup.  It is loaded with Vitamin E, zinc, iron, and selenium.  Simply add vegetables, lean protein or nuts to make a meal of it.
  6. Dark Chocolate. The University of Copenhagen discovered that if you chew on a piece of dark chocolate prior to a meal, you tend to eat less.  There are certain compounds in dark chocolate, not milk chocolate, that leave you feeling full.  It can also aid in reducing your cravings.  A one-ounce portion of dark chocolate holds 170 calories.
  7. Greek Yogurt. With twice as much protein as other yogurts, Greek yogurt takes longer to digest, leaving you satisfied longer.  Choose sugar-free, low-fat, or nonfat Greek yogurt.

Importantly, when digesting protein your body burns more calories than when you are digesting carbs - which means more fat fighting benefits.

I’m sharing this information to help all those of us who put on our New Year’s Resolutions – LOSE WEIGHT – as I pretty much do each year.

I found a website that might be interesting for you.  It compares the best 2024 weight loss apps.   Several of the apps come with a free trial.  Take a look.

Just to be clear, I’m not endorsing any of these apps.  As with any dieting program, it’s a trial-and-error process.  If I had the clear, works for all diet program, be sure I would be sharing with everyone.

Hope you had a nice Valentine’s Day.

All my best,

Julie
