As 2023 is only a few days away, I wanted to list twenty of the most common resolutions to start the new year. You have probably heard most of them before, but a little refresher won’t hurt anyone. Right?
- Exercise more
- Eat healthier
- Lose weight if you need to
- Save money; deposit more in your savings account
- Spend more time with family and friends
- Spend less time on social media
- If possible, reduce stress on the job
- Reduce spending on living expenses
- Travel more
- Learn a new hobby, sport, or interest.
- Read more; turn off the TV
- Get more sleep; seven to nine hours per night is optimum for most people
- Continue to have an attitude of gratitude
- Spend more time outdoors
- Declutter one space in your home per month
- Simplify your life, where possible
- Give back to your community, volunteer
- Be environmentally friendly; recycle
- Remember to make your health check-up appointments
- And last but not least, Love Yourself Unconditionally. There is only one you in this world. You are unique, and there is a reason God put you here on this earth. Love yourself by accepting compliments, practicing self-care, and talking to yourself with kindness every day.
As we plunge into each day, let us become a more compassionate and giving person. When you step out of your house or apartment, look at what’s ahead and decide to put a smile on your face, approaching every challenge with a “can do” attitude.
A grateful attitude is a positive choice. You feel more alive and, at the same time, relaxed. Inspire yourself to do more for others. That grateful attitude will rub off on others around you. It’s a win-win situation.
As I approach the writing of each weekly blog, I often need help with topics and subjects to cover. If you have an idea you’d like me to write about, please go to my website www.Goodbye-Girl.com and in the comments section, please type in your suggestion. I would appreciate your help.
I wish all my readers a happy and healthy 2023!
All my best,
Julie
