Several bits of trivia from the history books for the month of October:

  •  The first credit card was launched in 1958 by American Express
  •  In 1961, Roger Maris broke the home run record
  • Jimmy Carter was born in 1924
  •  In 1908, Ford Motor Company unveiled the Model T
  •  Johnny Carson debuts as The Tonight Show host in 1962
  •  In 1987, an earthquake rocked Southern California
  •  A gunman opened fire in 2017 at a concert crowd in Las Vegas, killing 58 and wounding many others.

Other special activities you might want to do in the Fall are:

  •  Fall Festivals
  •  Hiking
  •  Apple Picking
  • Visiting a Corn Maze
  • Backyard Camping
  • Visit a pumpkin patch

As our calendars are filled with holiday events, don’t forget to check in on the elderly, shut-ins, and the sick. And be careful when driving on Halloween.

All my best,

Julie
