Having lived in various states during my childhood, I feel compelled to share some of the most captivating and memorable places in the U.S. These are places that could make for a beautiful summer vacation with your family.
As most of you know, my family would move north in the summer to states like Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado so that my Dad could conduct his surveying, which was done outside. These five states have so much beautiful landscaping and wildlife roaming during summer.
Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Banff National Park, and Lake Louise are beautiful places to visit. Banff has pristine lakes, the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and numerous outdoor adventures, perfect for your family. Below is a website outlining all the magical fun you can enjoy.
South Dakota has many fun adventures. One excellent site is Mount Rushmore, where the four former presidents are carved out of the rock. Now, mind you, I haven’t seen the incredible site since I was in high school – in other words, a long time ago. And it was spectacular then. I’ve included another link for ideas to visit in South Dakota.
My next suggestion is to go to Wyoming. Everyone should see Yellowstone National Park, along with the world’s most famous “Old Faithful” geyser, which has been spewing boiling water into the air up to 180 feet every 60 to 120 minutes. Old Faithful is intriguing. You must also visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a city of 10,000, with three ski resorts. Jackson Hole sits at the base of the Grand Tetons, majestic as they decorate the sky. You can also ride an aerial tram to the top of one of the mountains. Many celebrities live there, including Harrison Ford. Visit the link for more information.

I have so many memories from these places, and I hope to share those with you in the memoir I am writing. With so much to show you, I hope it will be a must-read. My goal is to have it finished in 2025. I will keep you informed.
