First Anniversary of Goodbye-Girl Blog

I’m excited to announce this week is the first anniversary of my blog – Goodbye-Girl.   I want to start by thanking all those readers who faithfully read my blog. I hope that I have been tackling issues you are interested in and will benefit from.

I have approximately 300+ email subscribers, and my wish is to double that number during the second year of writing.  So, please forward my blog to friends and family that you think would enjoy the blog.  Be sure to go to my website www.Goodbye-Girl.com for Freebies, read any back blog posts you missed, and make comments.

I also would like to ask if there is a particular topic you would like me to research and possibly blog about.  I am open to venturing into new categories and developing some new partnerships.  Go to my website and insert the topic into the comment section.

Several lessons I’ve learned over the past year are:

  • My blog isn’t pertinent for everyone.
  • Many posts I begin to write about don’t come together.
  • Writer’s block is a real thing.
  • It feels lovely to receive comments from someone who responded with, “it was just what I needed to hear today!”
  • Comments are special and confirm that I’m adding positive content to the world.
  • I feel blessed to assist others with change and adversity in their lives.

The three most viewed blog posts were:

  1. May 12, 2022 – Free Time …What do you do with your free time?
  2. March 3, 2022 – Loss of a Childhood Memory
  3. January 5, 2022 – New Year’s Resolutions or Things to Accomplish in 2020

Before I conclude this anniversary post, I would like to thank the various writing coaches, especially Patricia at Life Writers – https://lifewriters.us/– for sharing your knowledge and instruction during these past few months.  I have learned so much and have met some extraordinary writers.  Your group is genuinely my writing family!  If you might be interested in learning more about Lifewriters, click on the link above.

As I begin my second year, I hope to inspire you, support you, arouse curiosity, provoke random acts of kindness, reassure positivity, and influence courage as we face each new day.  May we overcome the negative, “me” infested world we live in right now.  May we be slow to anger and think before we speak.  Adopt a positive attitude, invigorate others, spark kindness, encourage honesty, and promote happiness.

I want to share a few positive quotes I found online.

  • “One small positive thought can change your whole day.” – Zig Ziglar
  • “Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
  • “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” – Maya Angelou
  • “Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.” - Teddy Roosevelt
  • “Virtually nothing is impossible in this world if you just put your mind to it and maintain a positive attitude.” - Lou Holtz

Thank you for sharing my stories with me.  Hopefully, many of them will be found in my Memoir “Map of Goodbyes … childhood of a cartographer’s daughter,” which I am currently working on.

Have a blessed week!

All my best,

Julie
