I hope this blog post might help you find a fun and interesting location to take your family for Spring Break 2022. This special week is a chance for your family to find adventure, learning opportunities as well as make memories to last a lifetime. Our family developed a bucket list of places and things we wanted to visit before our daughters left home (or when they didn’t want to vacation with their parents any longer).
Several of the Spring Break vacations we ventured to see are listed below. You and your family may have already enjoyed them. If not, you might want to add it to your list.
- Disney World – visited twice with our daughters. When we vacationed there the first time, the girls were five and eight. What a magic place it was when everything was so new. We bought autograph books and had all the characters sign them.
- San Diego Zoo and Safari Park - San Diego has many fun attractions to utilize.
- The Big Island of Hawaii – we enjoyed the helicopter ride over the volcanos.
- Four Day Cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines – we flew into Miami, where we visited their aquarium before boarding the ship. The ports we visited were Key West, Cozumel, and the Bahamas. We were able to enjoy snorkeling, picnicking on the beach, and dolphin-watching off the catamaran.
- Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons – hiked and went horseback riding through the Tetons. A tram is also available to take you to the summit. The geysers are an awesome natural site.
- Colorado Springs, Colorado – several great places to see:
- Pikes Peak has an incredible cog railway ride up to the summit of 14,000 feet.
- Garden of the Gods – one of the most incredible geological wonders of the world. With its unique red rock structures, visitors can hike, bike, technical rock climb, horseback ride, and naturalist-led walks.
- The Air Force Academy - see link below.
- The Broadmoor Hotel – a historic hotel located just west of Colorado Springs; has two championship golf courses.
- Winter Park, Colorado – snow skiing and tubing, ice skating, and snowmobiling are a few of the attractions during the winter.
If you’re able to finally escape your home quarantine, it might be nice to visit something close to home. I’ve included a few links for you to do research.

Be sure to check out the two-affiliate links I’ve included below.
- Bookcamp is a great place to learn to write your story for your children and grandchildren. Inspirational people to guide you all the way.
- LifeWriter’s US – Five-Year Journal – an excellent way to write your daily affirmations and life happenings. This is a hard-bound journal with five lines per entry (you write the date of each entry). I love this journal. I’m currently enrolled in this program.
Happy travels!!
All my best,
Julie
Hi Julie,
The Broadmoor is a wonderful hotel/resort. We have stayed a few times and the rooms are awesome. Alyssa is a massage therapist there. She works Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays and is really enjoying meeting wonderful people on vacations.
You all had some great spring breaks!
Great ideas, thank you!!👍
Good ideas! Let me share our preferred destination above all others: The John Campbell Folk School (folk school.org) – located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina and offering courses ranging from blacksmithing to quilting to fiddling to story-telling to making kaleidoscopes (our favorite).
